Prof. Dr. Abdulmuttalip Şimşek
Prof. Dr. Abdulmuttalip Şimşek is a professor of urology specializing in robotic surgery, reconstructive urology and uro-oncology. He graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2005 and completed his residency training in urology at Bezmialem Vakif University (Vakif Gureba Training and Research) Hospital in 2010.
After his residency training, he continued his academic career at the Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Lutfiye Nuri Burat State Hospital and Haseki Training and Research Hospital. In 2015 he received the title of Associate Professor; the same year he carried out advanced clinical and academic work on reconstructive urology and advanced surgical techniques at the University of Sheffield and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in England. During this period he gained international experience, particularly in urethral stricture surgery and complex reconstructive urological procedures.
After returning to Turkey, he worked as a lecturer and clinical supervisor at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, contributing to the training of many urology specialists. Between 2020 and 2024 he served as the Training Supervisor of the Urology Clinic at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital. Since 2024, he has been seeing his patients at the Robotic and Reconstructive Urology Clinic of Memorial Bahcelievler Hospital.
