When Should You See a Urologist?

Urological diseases usually present with mild and insidious symptoms at first and tend to progress over time. For this reason, when certain complaints appear, it is important to see a urology specialist without losing time.

The main situations that require a urological evaluation:

  • Burning or pain when urinating
  • Frequent urination
  • Blood in the urine
  • Weakening of the urine stream
  • Pain in the kidney or flank area
  • Erection problems
  • Decreased sexual desire
  • Inability to have children (infertility)
  • Pain, swelling or tenderness in the testicles

Early diagnosis and intervention both increase treatment success and play a critical role in preventing serious and progressive diseases.
