Prof. Dr. Abdulmuttalip Şimşek is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of patients and website visitors.

When you contact us regarding medical consultation or treatment options, we may process personal information including contact details and healthcare-related information that you voluntarily provide.

1. Purposes of Processing

We process your information for:

Health information is considered sensitive personal data under GDPR. We handle such information with appropriate confidentiality and security measures, and process it only on the basis of your explicit consent or another lawful basis permitted under Article 9 GDPR.

3. Your Rights Under GDPR

Your rights under GDPR may include:

  • Request for deletion where applicable

  • Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal

4. Turkish Data Protection Law (KVKK)

Healthcare services are provided in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of Türkiye. Alongside GDPR, the processing of your personal data is also governed by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”).

Under KVKK, Prof. Dr. Abdulmuttalip Şimşek acts as the data controller. Identity and contact data (name, telephone number, email address) and, where you provide it, health data are processed for the purpose of handling your appointment or consultation request.

Identity and contact data are processed on the basis of legitimate interest and the establishment of a contractual relationship (KVKK Art. 5). Health data is processed only with your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 6).

Under Article 11 of KVKK you may apply to the data controller to learn whether your data is processed, request information about the processing, request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, request erasure or destruction where the grounds for processing no longer apply, and claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.

5. International Transfers

As a healthcare provider based in Türkiye serving international patients, your information is processed in Türkiye. Where information is transferred from the European Economic Area, we take appropriate steps to ensure an adequate level of protection.
